Kate Thaisz, MA CMC

Geriatric Care Management

Kate Thaisz’s passion for working with the elderly began when she helped care for her grandfather, who had Alzheimer’s disease. Her family’s experience made her decide to focus her education and career on helping others through the often complex and difficult situations that arise when caring for a loved one.

Through her 15+ year career, Kate has gained knowledge and expertise by working in various positions like Geriatric Care Manager, Support Group Facilitator, Benefit Application Assistant, and Director of Performance Improvement, within various organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association, an elder law firm, a continuum of care community, and a social service agency in Connecticut.

These experiences have provided Kate with knowledge and experience to navigate the many state and federal benefit programs available, as well as home and safety assessment and modification.

Kate holds a master’s degree in Human Development and Gerontology from the University of Saint Joseph, and is a Certified Care Manager (CMC) with the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.
